Let Us Not Grow Weary

Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest of blessings if we don't give up. Galatians 6:9

Good Morning Dreamers,

Choosing to be a christ follower isn't the easy choice. I'm sure we've all heard this before, but it really is a constant decision to choose god over our fleshly desires. Each day we are bombarded with new circumstances that we need to tackle. They can be stressful, overwhelming, and even exhausting. My sister just recently shared a scenario that relates to this on our youth leader page.

"I had a terrible start to my day. Everything went wrong, from missed due dates for big assignments, to issues with car so I couldn't drive it, it seemed that nothing was going right. On top of all of that, I had a Doctors appointment where I waited for over an hour past my appointment time. As I went through my appointment I felt God check me about being short with the nursing staff, and not taking my bad day out on them. But as I was checking out one of the nurses said to me, "Hey, you look familiar, you sing at that Attica church don't you?" I forced a smile and told her I did and we chatted a bit and I told her I would try to catch up the next time I saw her around church. As I was driving away I thought (more like, God revealed) how my actions today were incredibly important. What if I had given into that temptation to roll my eyes? What if I had been short with the nurses just trying to do their job? That lady would have seen me singing in her church next Sunday and recognized me as the "mean girl" from work. How could my actions today not only have made myself look bad, but my church, the leaders who have placed me there, and dare I say even my God? It is so important for us to not only resist sin in all of our "world-y interactions" but to show Gods love, so we can best represent the body we are a part of. As we are out in our day- to -day lives, we never know who is watching us, and seeing how we represent God."

I love Galatians 5:9 because it is a reminder that no good act is overlooked by our creator. Even when we feel like our decision to do what is right is overlooked it isn't! On the flip side remember that you never know how your actions are going to impact someone. Choose to be good! Don't give up. Keep persevering, we will be rewarded!

Thank you Charity for letting me share your inspiring words!

Keep Dreaming,
