New Beginnings.

These past weeks have been spent packing up all of my things; goodness has it been bittersweet! It's so easy for myself to forget how blessed I am and what amazing people are in my life. I have so many leaders, friends, and family who have poured into my life. I even started crying when I looked in the empty sanctuary at my church. Thankfully I will only be three hours away. Although new beginning are excited they also can be scary! I literally have a clean slate! I don't know what church I will be going to, what friends I will make, or even where the closest coffee shop is. However I do know one thing. My Creator is with me wherever I go. I'm trusting in his guidance to lead me in every aspect of my life. Grand Rapids look out!

Seek & You Shall Find.

| Tank: Kohls, similar | Flannel: Forever21, similar | Shorts: Maurices |
Have you ever meet someone who just understands your passions and dreams? In my life that is Marissa! It's somewhat scary how similar we are. We both listen to the same music, love taking pictures of everything and anything, and I could keep going but the list would never end. We had so much fun this weekend snapping pictures, sipping on fruity drinks, hiking in search of 'specific pine trees', and swimming because we were so exhausted from hiking. Here's to more adventures with this girl.

Denim & Floral

This denim button up is so versatile! I highly recommend investing in a nice denim top; or getting one from your friends closet like I did. I always feel so chic and put together wearing this outfit.

Turn my eyes from worthless things.

Turn away my eyes from looking at worthless things and revive me in your way.
Psalm 119:37

How easy is it to get consumed by worthless things? For myself this is a constant battle. I live in a society where technology is readily available to myself at all times. Although it can be a blessing, it also can distract myself from the plans God has for my life. There have been countless occasions where instead of reading my bible, I have chosen to browse social media. What I planned on being brief, ends up being hours of wasted time browsing the internet or binge watching Netflix. Can anyone relate? You will never regret spending time with your creator, but I can tell you first hand that you will have regrets for choosing worldly things to fill up your time. The comforting thing to remember is that god pours out grace abundantly and has already forgiven our choice to look at worthless things instead of his face. It comforts me to know that I can ask for forgiveness and move forward. So that is what I encourage anyone to do who is struggling with this issue. Make it a constant prayer that god would help you to spend your time according to his will. Think of all the amazing adventures in store for you life when you hand your time and life over to him? Gods plans are truly more adventurous and exciting than any plans I have for myself (more on that in the future).

Graduation Party Decor

This past weekend was my grad party. It was such a special time because all the people I love were there! The day was spent making s'mores, dancing, drinking slushies, and star tipping. I've always loved decor and making things look extra pretty. I even thought about becoming an interior designer; so it was super important to me to create a party that reflected my decor style. Hopefully this gives some inspiration for your next outdoor party or special event!

Always Rooney.

| Dress: Urban Outfitters | Passport Case: Always Rooney |
I've always had a thing for leather. When I stumbled across these handmade cases I was so thrilled. I'm quite the little travel bug and have always dreamed of traveling the world, so this quote is rather fitting. Courtney Weston is the creator behind these beautiful handmade leather goods. What began as a spur of the moment creation, has turned into Courtney's full time career. I love supporting etsy shops because not only are you purchasing unique items, but you're also seeing the face and story behind their work. Courtney also has a blog where she shares do-it-yourself projects; which are all lovely. I'm definitely going to recreate some in my apartment! I urge any of you avid creators to stop by her blog and give it some love.
Here are the places you can find Courtney:

you are enough.

You are enough. First, let me tell you that without god we will NEVER be enough. No matter how hard we try we will never be kind enough, strong enough, liked enough, or pretty enough. However, when Jesus Christ lives in us we will always be enough. When we don't feel beautiful remember God says we are fearfully and wonderfully made. When we don't feel strong enough remember that we can do all things through christ who gives us strength. When we don't feel liked enough remember god deeply desires us. Self-improvement is draining. We will never be content with ourselves and will always find flaws. Allow God to fill those holes of dissatisfaction with his truths. When you discover your self worth through our creator there is so many blessings that will be poured out on you.
